2027 Brown Bear Bay Lodge with Ray Hennessy I am incredibly excited to be teaming up with Ray Hennessy to offer the ultimate brown bear photography workshop in 2027. Ray is an exceptional photographer specializing in environmental portraits and small-in-frame wildlife imagery, and our destination—the volcanic foothills of Mount Iliamna—is the perfect place to refine these skills. With our combined experience, I am confident that by the end of this seven-day workshop, you will not only come away with unique images of brown bears, but also gain the knowledge and skills needed to create powerful, story-driven photographs. This all-inclusive workshop will take place at Brown Bear Bay Lodge, located on private land at the head of Chinitna Bay, at the peak of the salmon run. Surrounded by rugged mountains, dramatic light, and one of the densest brown bear populations in Alaska, the lodge offers one of the finest brown bear photography experiences in the world. ITINERARY: August 15 Arrive at airline check in location in Homer. Fly into Brown Bear Bay on private charter Turbo Beaver plane, landing on private beach. You will be greeted by your guide and assistant guide, and shuttled to the lodge via ATV. We will likely go out in the evening after a bear safety briefing with the lead guide. August 16 - 20 Enjoy full days at Brown Bear Bay with options for morning/afternoon, and evening outings depending on the tides, lighting and bear activity. August 21 Check out 3 hours prior to plane arrival at private beach. Option for morning outing depending on flight timing. Fly to Homer, concluding workshop. Inclusions: - Instruction from Ray Hennessy & Sergius Hannan - Roundtrip charter flight from Homer to Brown Bear Bay Lodge - Access to immense amounts of private, native association land and Brown Bear Bay private property - Starlink Wifi - 24-Hour Electricity provided by Solar Panel System & Generator - 3 delicious, home-cooked meals/day - Complimentary house wine & beer - 8-hours/day of walking safari outings led by expert naturalist guides - Complimentary 1 night extension of stay in the event of weather-forced delays Limited to 8 guests max (double occupancy) The tour price is $12,500 per person, with a $6,250* deposit required to hold your spot. *this deposit includes a $1,000 non-refundable booking fee The remaining $6,250 is due April 17, 2027.
